The Keyah Grande elk herd contains some of the world's largest elk. The hunting reserve encompasses about 2,000 acres of untouched natural elk habitat and offers a challenging hunt for all sportsmen. A guide will accompany you as you set out to find and shoot the best of the best, the elk of a lifetime. Hunt with rifle, muzzleloader, bow or dart gun. OTHER WILD GAME HUNTING
The majestic country at Keyah Grande is home to native elk, Merriam turkey, mule deer and waterfowl. Limited hunting of these native species is available. Please contact us for further information about the hunting seasons.

LODGE ACTIVITIES
Your stay at Keyah Grande can be as relaxing and as active as you choose. As a guest of The Lodge, you can take advantage of the lodge activities at no additional charge.
SKEET/ TRAP SHOOTING
Enjoy the use of our professional skeet and trap ranges during your stay at Keyah Grande. Whether you are an experienced and accomplished shot or a novice, our Skeet/Trap Manager can help you improve your skills. Skeet and trap lessons are available by appointment.
HUNT CLUBHOUSE
The Hunt Clubhouse, located adjacent to the trap and skeet range, is a cozy place to gather. It offers excellent views of the shooting range for anyone who wants to watch from inside. In addition, if you make reservations for lessons or to use the Keyah Grande guns and ammunition, you will pick up your equipment at the Hunt Clubhouse.
SPORTING CLAYS
Our sporting clay course features twelve stations with two machines each. Every station offers unique shooting challenges based on the terrain and vegetation. Hone your skills with sporting clays by making an appointment with the Sporting Clays Manager for a private lesson.
ARCHERY
Hone your bow hunting skills on the archery range at Keyah Grande. Bows are available or you can bring your own.
FLY FISHING
All guests are welcome to enjoy catch-and-release fly-fishing on the stocked ponds at Keyah Grande. Guided fly-fishing expeditions on nearby rivers and streams are also available by prior arrangement.
HIKING
Hiking is a favorite pastime at Keyah Grande. It's a great way to see the birds and animals, not to mention the spectacular views of the surrounding San Juan Mountains. There are miles of trails and we can recommend hiking destinations. If you make prior arrangements with the chef, we can even have a picnic lunch delivered to you at one of the scenic overlooks.
HORSEBACK RIDING
One of the best ways to see the country around Keyah Grande is from the back of a horse. Our stable has horses for all levels of rider. There are miles of trails on the property taking you through forests and up mountains for spectacular views. Let our chef pack you a picnic lunch and you can spend the day riding.
SNOWMOBILE
For a thrilling ride and spectacular views, take a spin in the winter on one of Keyah Grande's snowmobiles. Any guest 16 years or older is welcome to use the snowmobiles.

AMENITIES
The Lodge at Keyah Grande is an intimate hacienda-style hotel set atop a ridge, like an exquisite gem in harmony with the canyons, mesas and forests that surround it. Inside the Lodge you will experience the best that the world has to offer. Outside you can watch the sunset from our "flying deck" or soak in the outdoor hot tubs under the stars [available Spring 2003].
ROOM DESCRIPTIONS/RATES
The Lodge has eight luxurious suites, each with its own décor designed around a different part of the world. Each suite is a different size and shape with furnishings, carpeting, wallpaper and tile consistent with the theme. Most suites have a private balcony; all have a sitting area, a refrigerator and stocked complimentary bar, television in every room and high-speed Internet hookups. Your nightly turndown service includes lighting the oil lamps in your suite, turning on relaxing music and slipping a hot water bottle between your sheets. Ahhh!
Your stay at The Lodge at Keyah Grande entitles you to the use of all of the facilities available onsite.
